  • Why should we choose you?
Telling your story is fundamental above all. The very first thing we do with our couples is just chat! We sit down with you to get to know you, your story, your style, and what you are looking for. If you’re someone with a vision–whether that’s through your Pinterest Boards or Spotify playlists–we encourage you to tell us more about anything and everything that is special to you. It is so so so important that your wedding film is unique to you, and we honour this through every step of our process! We act as observers, not directors. We never pose you or tell you what to do, and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Imagine that you’re enjoying your wedding day to the fullest—and that there’s someone out there just making sure those memories are captured for your lifetime. That is what we do!
  • What areas do you serve?
We serve the Niagara Region, GTA, Toronto, and anywhere in between or beyond. If you’re not sure, contact us!
  • Do you travel?
    Yes!
  • Do you offer services for religious and cultural ceremonies?
Yes! In our pre-production call we go over any special traditions you would like to see honoured in your film.
  • How do I check if my wedding date is available?
Fill out this quick info form on our contact page. Once you fill it out, we will send you an email with our response. Fingers crossed we're available! We value your time and will respond quickly. You can also reach out to us through email brightideafilmsniagara@gmail.com.
  • Yay, my date is available! What next?
Book a free consultation here! The free consultation is where we get to know more about you, your story, and what you’re looking for and it is a great opportunity to ask questions about our packages, process, or anything else! The meeting is virtual and is typically done over Google Meets.
  • How do I secure my wedding date?
Your date is officially locked in when you sign our policy agreement and send your retainer. We require a 50% retainer upon time of booking to reserve your date. The remaining 50% is due after you have received your final, perfect wedding film. Payment can be made via e-transfer or cheque (details available upon request).
  • Does the pricing include tax?
Yes, all the pricing already includes HST!
  • Are there any additional fees?
If your wedding is in the Niagara Region—what you see is what you get! No additional fees. Woohoo! If your wedding is outside the Niagara Region —your only concern is our travel fee. It covers the expenses, risks, and liabilities involved with traveling with our equipment. The travel fee for Hamilton or Kitchener area is a flat fee of $100 (includes the way there and back). Other regions may vary. If you have questions regarding your location, please ask! If you would like to reschedule or cancel, we have respective fees for those. To learn more, please visit our policies.

  • What is a Full Ceremony Video?
A Full Ceremony Video is a separate, uncut video of your wedding ceremony. This is separate from your Wedding Highlight Film (so yes, if it is included in your package, you will receive more than one film!) The video is edited to have high-quality audio, angle switches, and colouring.

  • Are two videographers included in every package?

We connect directly to the sound systems of microphones, soundboards and we have many sources of back-up audio to ensure we don’t miss anything! We also attach lav mics to the collar of clothing. These will be worn discreetly as possible during the ceremony and speeches.
  • Do I have to wear a lav mic?
No, it is absolutely optional! We understand that mics might get in the way of styling and personal comfort, and we will always ask you beforehand.
  • What happens if one of your videographers get sick?
We have many backup videographers and talented connections within the wedding community. Don’t worry!
  • Do you work well with photographers?
Yes times a thousand, we love photographers!! We often leave the directing/leading up to the photographers, and you may find us alongside them throughout the day.
  • Do we get to choose the style of our wedding video?
Yes! Classic, documentary, vintage, you name it—you will get to discuss all of this in a chat with your videographer prior to the wedding. This virtual meeting usually takes place 30-60 days before your wedding date, but you can request to have it done earlier if you already know what you’re looking for!
  • How does the editing process work?
The editing process actually starts before we film! About a month or two before the wedding, we have a pre-production consultation with you about everything you want to see in the final edit of your wedding film. This could be events from the day, the style you're looking for, the music you want in your film, etc. Post-wedding, we edit your film according to your wants and then send you a first draft. The first draft gives you a chance to see your film for the first time and request any changes you would like to make. You are then sent another draft where you can request further changes. After that, your final, perfect wedding film is sent!
  • Do we get to choose the music for our wedding film?
Yes, of course! We have a pre-production consultation where you go over everything you want in the final edit, including the music. You could name a few songs that you really love, or send us a playlist, or recommend a genre—bonus points if you can think of few romantic songs and a few “dancy” songs to get some variety. Show us whatever songs are most important to you and your story!
  • Can we make changes to our wedding video?
Yes, this is crucial to what we offer! We always offer opportunities to make revisions!
  • How is the film delivered to me?
Whether it’s the first draft or the final film, we will always send you with a download link via email.
  • Can I send you inspiration from Pinterest, Instagram, Google, etc?
Yes! During our pre-production consultation, you will have access to a form where you can upload inspiration for your wedding film. It can be in any form—videos you’ve seen, photos you like, songs, etc. We love when you have ideas to bring to us!
