Last August, we got to film the lovely Brooke and Jordan at the Ironwood wedding venue in Niagara-on-the-Lake! Couples, this venue is an underrated gem in Niagara. If you're looking for something fresh, modern, and fun, you've found the perfect place!
Watch below and take in everything firsthand! Bonus points if you can imagine yourself running freely through the orchards with your besties. 🍃
Getting Ready at Queen’s Landing and Ironwood Cider House
The hotel room at Queen’s Landing was a jumble of excitement. People often wonder how long it takes to get the wedding dress ready—not long if you have a trusty bunch behind you! Brooke’s friends were eager to help. In a pinch, they completed Mission Wedding Dress. Go team!
While the brides were completing their mission, Jordan and his crew were upstairs at the Ironwood wedding venue, already having a party themselves. The groom’s gifts were a hit among the groomsmen—what more would you want than matching socks and flippy knives? They were a goofy group, and it totally shined through in the video.
Wedding Ceremony at Ironwood Wedding Venue
Ironwood offers a beautiful outdoor ceremony space right next to the main building. The ceremony is set up among rows of peach orchards, which gives the space a cozy and intimate feel. The size was just right, too, allowing 60 guests to sit comfortably and enjoy the ceremony.
Brooke and Jordan were the sweetest. You could feel the nerves settling in, and man, I would be nervous, too! But there was no worry, as the lovely wedding officiant Karolynn Lacroix guided the couple through every step of the way. Gradually, the nerves settled, and smiles appeared on everyone’s faces. Definitely some tears too. Hey, we’re all guilty of it.
It wasn’t long before Brooke and Jordan were officially married–woohoo!–and the two happily took the runway, surrounded by bubbles, bubbles, and lots of bubbles.
Cocktail hour at Ironwood Wedding Venue
The Ironwood wedding venue provides fresh food and drinks in-house, which is super convenient for both the cocktail hour and the reception! Ironwood's open bar package offers a full bar experience, complete with specialty fruit ciders, spirits, wine, and beer. There are also lots of hors-d'œuvres to choose from, all served by the experienced and friendly service staff!
Brooke and Jordan's wedding had a wonderful outdoor cocktail hour at the venue's patio. It was a great way to get some fresh air, and it allowed guests to have a chat while little ones enjoyed some lawn games outside!
Wedding Reception at Ironwood Wedding Venue
The interior of the Ironwood wedding venue is quite chic. Sleek concrete bars and exposed beams give the space a modern feel. Paintings by local artists adorn the walls, which adds a nice splash of colour. As Ironwood puts it, their style is inspired by the many talented local artists who are guided by a passion for their craft.
Our personal favourite to film was the giant glass windows—so much light came in, giving the reception a bright, open feel from afternoon to sunset.
The layout is great, too. The center is empty for the dance floor, while the sides are arranged for an open bar, food stations, and guest seating. Having food stations over pre-planned meals is AWESOME if you want to give your guests lots of options.
Even better is having an on-site chef who cooks guests’ meals right then and there! Brooke and Jordan’s wedding had Chef Hos; we were so glad it did. With his expertise, no guests were left hungry.
As night came, the DJ got set up, and the guests got dancing!
Into the night, everyone danced, and poof! The wedding day ended just like that. Weddings go by way too fast, don't they? (It's a good thing we caught it on video…)
